What started as an initiative to provide food to 12 families has now grown into an accredited Food Bank of NYC Food Pantry that reaches hundreds of families every week.

Now in two locations and fully certified through the Food Bank for New York City and the United Way of New York City, Queens Defenders’ Food Pantry offers weekly food distributions in at our Pantry in Far Rockaway and pop-up location in Jamaica. We partner with the New York City Community Food Connection, corporate partners, elected officials, and other funders to deliver fresh, healthy food to individuals and families.

We also partner with the Food Bank for New York City to offer special projects including free tax preparation services during tax season, healthy recipes, and financial education programs through the Food Bank’s Food & Finance Program.
